Alex Sastoque

Alex Sastoque, Visionary Artist and Master in Visual Arts at the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana has exhibited his artwork and performed his performances in places like: the National Museum of Colombia, Bogotá ‘s Museum of Modern Art, Phantasten Museum (Vienna, Austria), Boom Festival (Portugal), Antioquia Museum, Museum of Contemporary Art in Bogota , University of Los Andes, United Nations UNHCR – Bucaramanga, Cultural Center of Nayarit Mexico, Moksha Gallery, Miami and with national and international artists as: Fernando Botero, Ernst Fuchs, Robert Venosa, Jimi Hendrix, Alex Grey, Allyson Grey, Martina Hoffmann, Alejandro Obregón, David Manzur, Enrique Grau, Luis Caballero, Omar Rayo, Miguel Ángel Rojas, Nadin Ospina, Hector Buitrago (Conector), Andrea Echeverri (Aterciopelados), Calle 13, ChocQuibTown, Mark Henson, Amanda Sage y Chris Dyer.


His artistic work involves first materialized in painting, video art and installation views obtained in entheogenic rituals as Ayahuasca and Peyote. Additionally, his work seeks to portray and transmit knowledge, teachings, and spiritual experiences that have received through contact with leaders Mamos, Taitas and shamans from different indigenous communities in Colombia.
